Big Kids Club
Ages 6 – 12
Services in our Big Kids Club are focused on not only speech and language but also on academic-based and social learning that are ever so critical in these early school age years. Our S-LP services for elementary schoolers and their families are designed to encompass all of the intertwining factors affecting a child’s language and development within the education context. While fostering and nurturing an intrinsic motivation for learning, nothing is left out so that each child is guaranteed to receive the best service possible for them and their needs.

Language Evaluations (Cycles 1-3)
Evaluations for language based on education cycles to ensure that the required skills are assessed not only based on age expectancies but on grade equivalencies as well. At school-age, all of our language evaluations include elements of literacy and social communication to ensure comprehensive testing and appropriate therapy goals.
Individual & Group Therapies
Children can be seen in individual speech-language therapy sessions or by group, depending on their own unique goals. Therapies include language skills, speech sound production, reading and writing, social communication and pragmatics, and more.
Social Skills Groups
Our Social Skills Groups for school-aged children are catered for the growing social minds at this stage, and the difficulties that come with them. Targeting themes such as friendships, conversation skills, bullying, self-advocacy and more, our social skills groups are designed to encourage children to be their authentic selves while navigating the complex social world of school.
Creative learning through motivation and connection
School-aged children are growing and learning at incredible rates, all the while trying to find their way in an increasingly complex social world. Dealing with language and learning difficulties in this context can be challenging, to say the least. Our Big Kid programs are all designed to support the individual child, foster their intrinsic motivation for learning and focus on the ultimate goal of all language and communication: fostering connections.
